About TNFD?
This is an authoritative data source and reporting portal founded by Kenya Bankers Association and WWF-Kenya to empower Kenyan Institutions in adopting the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures framework (TNFD), with the sovereign goal of reducing nature-negative outcomes and transitioning toward nature-positive outcomes, in line with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) goal to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030 and ensure nature’s recovery by 2050.
Disclosure Pillars
Welcome to the Adoption Tracking Tool-your hub for monitoring your organisation’s progress, commitments, and implementation of the Task force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) recommendations.
Despite Kenya’s vast natural capital and immense potential for nature-positive action, only five institutions have so far adopted the TNFD framework, led by the banking sector.
Globally, more than 500 organizations have joined this movement, reflecting a shared commitment to the Global Biodiversity Framework’s goal of halting and reversing biodiversity loss by 2030 and living in harmony with nature by 2050.
As a GBF signatory, Kenya is committed to restoring ecosystems, protecting Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs), and mobilizing finance for biodiversity conservation. Join the movement toward nature-positive finance by registering as a TNFD adopter.
